Management of impartiality

We declare that:

• Conformity assessment activities are to be taken impartially. AGAH AFARIN ARIA is responsible
for the impartiality of its conformity assessment activities and does not allow commercial,
financial, or other pressures to compromise impartiality.

• Top Management of AGAH AFARIN ARIA commits to impartiality in management system certification
activities. AGAH AFARIN ARIA has a policy understanding the importance of impartiality in carrying
out its management system certification activities, managing conflict of interest, and ensuring the
objectivity of its management system certification activities.

• AGAH AFARIN ARIA does not certify another certification body for its quality management
system.

• AGAH AFARIN ARIA does not offer or provide management system consultancy.

• The practice of internal audits by AGAH AFARIN ARIA and any part of this legal entity to its
certified clients is a significant threat to impartiality. Therefore, neither AGAH AFARIN ARIA nor
any part of its legal entity offer nor provide internal audits to its certified clients. A
recognized mitigation of this threat is that AGAH AFARIN ARIA does not certify a management system
on which it provided internal audits for a minimum of two years following the completion of the
internal audits.

• Where a client has received management systems consultancy from a body that has associations
with AGAH AFARIN ARIA, it would be a significant threat to impartiality. A recognized mitigation of
this threat is that AGAH AFARIN ARIA does not certify the management system for a minimum of two
years following the end of the consultancy.

• AGAH AFARIN ARIA does not outsource audits to a management system consultancy organization,
as this poses an unacceptable threat to the impartiality recognized by AGAH AFARIN ARIA.

• AGAH AFARIN ARIA’s activities are not to be marketed or offered as linked with the activities
of an organization that provides management system consultancy. AGAH AFARIN ARIA takes action to
correct inappropriate links or statements by any consultancy organization stating or implying that
certification would be simpler, easier, faster, or less expensive if AGAH AFARIN ARIA were to be
elected for certification. AGAH AFARIN ARIA does not state nor implies that certification would be
simpler, easier, faster, or less expensive if a specified consultancy organization were used

• In order to ensure that there is no conflict of interests, personnel who have provided
management system consultancy, including those acting in a managerial capacity, are not employed by
AGAH AFARIN ARIA to take part in an audit or other certification activities if they have been
involved in management system consultancy towards the client. A recognized mitigation of this
threat is that personnel shall not be enrolled for a minimum of two years following the end of the
consultancy.

• All AGAH AFARIN ARIA personnel, either internal or external or committees, which could
influence the certification activities, shall act impartially and shall not allow commercial,
financial, or other pressures to compromise impartiality.
